Nice Thing Thursdays are going to be about a lot of things – kitchen tools, tech items, clothes, accessories – but this first one is a makeup review.
Recently, I was chatting with work colleagues about the new MAC Retro Matte Liquid Lipcolour (look for a review of that later as I will probably use this formula for my wedding ceremony) and – as these conversations go – we ended up talking about eyeshadow palettes for travel and special events. With two weddings, various 30th birthdays, and babies all in store for our team in 2016, we have no shortage of special events where we will be in front of the camera.
Enter, my Sleep MakeUP review.
I first discovered Sleek MakeUP after reading this review in 2013 from one of my top 2 beauty blogs, Temptalia. I ordered the palette in that review, which was called Sunset and is still available. From that order, my shipping was only $4.40! Even if you get nothing else, that’s a steal for a quality palette. Without duplicating Temptalia’s review, here are some swatches on my skin (MAC NW25 for those in the know), with bonus 2 swatches of my gold and rose-gold holy grail eyeshadows, Urban Decay X and Half Baked:
I think the pigmentation for price is amazing on these, except that the blue and black are very matte and need a few layers – so I’m giving it an A-.
